Emily and her whole team are absolutely amazing!!! They love my dogs just as much as we do and take care of them like their own! Emily was recommended to me by a mutual friend who I totally trust, so that was a good start. Still, I had a lot of anxiety leaving my cat and fish.
Well... Michelle was our cat sitter and I can’t say enough good things about her and the way she interacted with our cat... she took the time to make him comfortable enough to play and chat... he’s a BIG talker and she spent the full hour with him!!!
Michelle fed and checked on our fish and when the filter got clogged she cleaned it out so that the pump wouldn’t stop working. She sent me loads of photos and videos of both the cat and fish...
Some sitters come and just open a can of food but not Emily and her team. I really felt that I left my animal family in the hands of someone who cared about their well being. Emily is also very quick to respond to
e-mail. I recommend Bark Ave 1000%

We have used a variety of sitters over the past 25 years. We had an occasion to hire Emily for a 9 day stay at our home, under challenging circumstances. We had just brought home a new puppy a few weeks before, and had devoted a significant amount of time to training her. As we both work from home, we were able to utilize a crate for the puppy only at night, supervising her constantly during the day, shaping her behavior on a minute-by-minute basis. This is a tall order for two people, and was a very high request of Emily. Not only did Emily meet the challenge, she exceeded our expectations. She managed the puppy and the house without missing a beat. There was nothing we asked of her which was not handled smoothly and efficiently.
She has a natural rapport with dogs, who clearly respond to her with enthusiasm. It would be impossible to over-state the level of comfort she creates as a result of her professionalism. Her performance instills total confidence, which is truly a gift when you are away, whether for business or pleasure.

Emily and John are the best at Bark Ave! They've been taking care of our dog, Kobe, and our cats for almost 2 years now. There's no one else I would trust more with them. Plus, Kobe just loves them. They care so much about animals and go above and beyond. We thought we lost Kobe one night and John and Emily came down to help look for him at 2am! It was love at first sniff. Our Rupert just adores Emily. Us too. She takes such good care of our pooch and treats him like her own. It is so great to receive little updates and photos or videos when she's dog walking him. Highly recommend.

The folks at Bark Ave. treat my Groot like he's part of their family. Every time he is with them, I receive pictures and texts on how he's doing. I always know a message/picture is coming through when they are with him. They not only walk him, but play with him and make him feel loved while they are at my home.
